Jewish - of or relating to the Jews (Hebrew: יְהוּדִים Yehudim, Israeli pronunciation [jehuˈdim]), also known as the Jewish people, are an ethnoreligious group originating from the Historical Israelites of the Ancient Near East.

The attributive use of the noun Jew, in phrases such as Jew lawyer or Jew ethics, is both vulgar and highly offensive. In such contexts Jewish is the only acceptable possibility.
