Technical term describing traditional view screens and displays. Despite the availability of perfect 3D screen technology and the wide spread use of hard light holograms, 2D screens have always remained a practical and simple way to display data.
There are two types of 2D screens. There are hardware screens that are physically integrated into equipment such as PDD’s , Bridge viewers and data displays; and there are Field screens , were a usually rectangular energy field is projected. Field screens can be easily adapted to any required size and often used for presentations, out-door advertisement and public events.
