Andropolis
"Pluribus of the Andromeda Galaxy"
As Union influence in the Andromeda Galaxy grows more and more of the old colonies developed and develop into busy Union centers. Andromeda Annex -Region One - is a well developed core region with over 2000 planetary systems.
Chief among them is of course Palomar, Planet in the Bridgehead system .
The first Union colony in the Andromeda galaxy has grown to a 20 billion population (thePalomar Torus started construction in 5039) The original Settlement "Toe-Hold " has long been renamed Andropolis (The old quaters are still called the Toe Hold district ).
Andropolis is the second largest Union City in the Andromeda galaxy (after Core-Blue ) and the 45th largest Union wide.
Andropolis was not planned like Pluribus and simply grew. City planners are now trying to rectify the somewhat chaotic layout, by tearing down entire districts and rebuilding them in a more orderly fashion.
It is a city of tremendous wealth and busy commerce. (main trading hub between M-0 and Andromeda)
The Bridgehead system being the main fleet base of the Andromeda galaxy is the reason for a strong Union fleet presence.
3 Billion citizen live in Andropolis and an estimated 20 million Union Residents and Non Cits.
The city features a Class A space port and Transmatter Tunnels to all planets in the system, as well as to Andromeda Central (Space train terminal)
Long range TMT connections to Core Blue and Pertha are also active since 5044.
The largest employers are SII-Andro , AndroEnroe and SOWA-Galactic .
Noteable is also the largest XChange of the Andromeda Galaxy and the Union Post Office -Andro Annex Branch.
