The Antoo , encountered by the crew of the Tigershark and sent to "their dimension" did not mention the "trapped ones " . [1]
They were the "criminal or undesireable element" of the Antoo society. A group of 6000 became the Vengeance Spirits of the Antoo .
During the Climax of the Antoo Crisis , the Dark One interfered and (because he is also Eric ) destroyed the Vengeance spirits and entered the plane of existence where the "good" Antoo now existed and exterminated them all in anger over lying to him and the anquish they caused his friend Ortbeer.
Ortbeer pleaded for the lives of the rest of the Trapped ones, and succeeded with the assistance of Narth (the young Narth ) The 70,000 remaining Antoo were spared.
The Narth Supreme suggested to them to become Union Members as this would apease the Dark One.
The Narth Supreme andShea Schwartz used the same tech solution they used with Ortbeer to give them enough substance in the Universe to be able to use the Interaction Belt
Shea invented and Circuit built (first proto type) The new Narth/ Shea belt manufactured by Mothermachine allowed the remaining Antoo to exist, to sleep and to physically interact with
others. The Antoo do not pass theBaPhy to join the armed forces (Ortbeer technically doesn't either but he was made an exception because he was a member of the Tigershark crew.)
Many Antoo served their 22 month with the Science corps and remained as scientists.
A few have become Union School teachers and two are members of Work Group Olympus .
Ortbeer eventually achieved the rank of Admiral and serves with Fleet Command .
The Antoo have no measurable life span and are technically immortal, but can be killed with Neuro Rippers (and similar weapons)
Several hundred Antoo, actually chose to commit suicide after they were tired of living.
