Union Intel reports that the Basil are not under Kermac Psi control but follow the Kermac on their own.
The Basil are the only species , banned from the Golden Bazaars (long before the Golden became Union) The Basil consider themselves brothers of the Shiss , even though DNA evidence shows no connection at all.
The Shiss consider the Basil to be inferior and weak and not related to the Shiss.
As members of the Galactic Council they are considered hostile by the Union. Anyone claiming to be related to the Shiss has of course no friendly relations to the Nul .
The Basil are a small un noteworthy society controlling 11 systems.
They are true cold blooded lizards, and are no longer flight capable, their wings have devolved and get smaller by the generation. Their only known friends are the Turotonk
