Bela III
Homeworld of the Belanorm (Large Magellan Cloud system Bela)
Bela III is a Type 3A Gardenworld with a rich biosphere and diverse climates about 12 % dryer and warmer than Terra on average.
Characteristic are large tundra desert regions spanning both continents for vast stretches.
The Bela a long time member and the first LMC society to oficially become a Union member even before the Attikans.
The world is a well developed TL 8 Union world with Class A spaceport , manay large cities, but none of the Giga or Mega cities characteristic to some other core worlds.
Still about 8 billion Bellanorm live and work on their world.
Like many Union systems, all planets, moons and suitable celestial real estate is occupied and uilized.
There is no specialized industry per say, but most businesses produce Belanorm specific food and cultural items for the 67 Billion Belanorm spread throughout Union space.
Vistiors are warned as Belanorms love nothing more than crime mysteries and crime solving. To this effect, master criminals are revered as stars. This leads to daily crime, "murders" and robberies. Almost all is prentend and master criminals reveal themselves and give back whatever they have stolen, robbed or taken. These are "pretend crimes" and not real.Problem is that about 1% is real and can cause harm to victims. However nowhere is real crime punished harder than on Bela.
Also violent crimes or vandalism are not tolerated.
