Modern Command Chairs include individual shield generators, are able to act as Life boats and can be jettisoned. The Command Chair is armed and has hidden weapon systems to defend the chair occupier ( Called the Captains Final Answer )
There are automatic restraining systems and systems to overwrite all other systems aboard a ship. It is equipped with an AI kill switch , a Main Memory Dump function.
Modern Command Chairs have Intuitive Controls and can raise into the Battle Dome . (In most cases the Battle dome is simulated)
