Switzerland is a mountainous Central European country, home to numerous lakes, villages and the high peaks of the Alps. Old Towns within its cities contain medieval landmarks like capital Bern’s Zytglogge clock tower and Cathedral of Bern. The country is also a destination for its ski resorts and hiking trails. Banking and finance are no longer key industries but Swiss watches and chocolate are still renowned.
Swizerland is one of two countries that still exist on Earth as nations (Vatican is the other). Even though the country state is only symbolic, Swizerland was never part of United Earth and no colonists of Swiss origin left Earth during the Second Exodus . Swizerland applied seperatley for Union membership in 2221 .
The country exists symbolically in 5050 and still has its own representative.
The country has done much to maintain and preserve its pre astro character, but lost much of its population. Only about 600,000 Union citizens define themselves as Swiss.
