When Wilto and Bopho went on their quest to return the spear that killed a Walking Ghost to the Giant of the Earth as the Shaman told them to do, the Guardian takes on this name and disguise to appear to Bopho and Wilto to instruct and direct them in fighting the Anuna invaders.

Even though he reveals himself as the Guardian later on, Bopho referrers to the Guardian always as the Giant of the Earth.
