Jarhead is one of the many nicknames aquired by the United States Marine Corps during it's existence. While the United Earth Marines, and later on, the United Stars Marine Corps have kept many of the traditions of the United States Marine Corps, the pre astro nicknames are not as commonly used as they were at that time.
