Seenian
Until very recently scholars believed the mysterious race that existed about a million years ago and fought the Dark Ones were called the Celtest (called the Loorn by the Nul).
When Eric Olafson and his crew encountered a re-animated member of that species she cleared up that misconception by calling her own culture Seenian.
Old Saresii records from the First Saresii Empire were the main reason for this misconception as Celtest was not the name for the entire Species but just the term for their mutual cooperation.
The Seenians are humanoid and believed to be the at the core of the Human Mystery. For the longest time, Terrans were believed to be a “forgotten” Seenian Colony which explained the sudden rise of Homo Sapiens over the Neanderthal hominid to them.
However this too proved to be an erroneous assumption as the rediscovered Bopho's tribe attested.
There is not all that much known about the Seenian Civilization. It is believed they were a Tech Level 11 society and ruled over most of the Milky Way Galaxy after the decline of the UNI and the PREE.
A the height of their power and expansion they encountered an extra galactic force known as the Dark Ones that completely wiped out the Seenian race. Memories of Cateria the Seenian survivor who identified the Vanderstraat Nebula as the region where the old Seenian main world once was, support that part of the history.
Seenian artifacts can still be found and are among the most sought after items.
The USS Devastator is believed to be a former Seenian Battleship (she is not).
