Thauran Emperor

The Thauran Noble houses and kingdoms form a council around the Azure Throne and the person occupying it. The Council elects an Emperor from one of the Kings. This Emperor then has nearly unlimited/absolute powers.
Many wars, intrigues, revolts, and coups have occurred in the now almost 3000 years of Thauran History.
The Emperor is not only ruler of the Thauran Empire but also de facto head of the State Church (Thauran Church of the Blue Lady )
